You don't need a professional shoot to apply to a modeling agency. Four clear phone photos tell us more than a filtered selfie or a glam portrait ever could.
The four photos we ask for
Close up. Face the camera straight on, shoulders up. Hair off your face, little to no makeup.
Waist up. Straight on, from just above your head to your hips. Arms relaxed.
Full length. Head to toe in the frame, standing tall, arms at your sides. Fitted clothing.
Side profile. Turn fully to the side, chin level, hair behind your shoulder.
These are often called digitals or polaroids. Every agency uses them because they show what a client will see when you walk into a casting. Applications missing any of the four won't be reviewed.
How to take them
Stand in front of a plain, light-coloured wall
Face a window for natural daylight
Wear fitted clothing in solid colours
Have someone shoot at chest height, or prop your phone and use the timer
What to skip
Selfies or mirror shots
Filters, editing or cropping
Hats, sunglasses or heavy makeup
Busy backgrounds, doors or other people in the shot
Add your measurements
Include your height, plus bust or chest, waist and hips if you know them. Measure in socks, standing straight, with someone helping you. An honest number matters more than a flattering one, because clients book from those stats.
What happens next
Our team reviews every application. If we'd like to meet you, we'll reach out with next steps, which usually include a development shoot in our studio.
